I have fond memories of creating my own greeting cards for family members. I would hide it under their plates so when it was time to eat, they would be pleasantly surprised to find a handmade card made out of materials I found around the house. The best part was seeing the delight in their faces.

In leading teams, I’ve used the same approach and create an environment for them to thrive in. Creating a cohesive strategy and vision that we can align on is crucial for our success.

I have been designing in one capacity or another my whole life. I was trained at an interior design school in the Philippines and had residential projects soon after college.  Upon moving to San Francisco I was fascinated with visual design and the emerging web and took classes to further my knowledge. I took on web design projects and learned to code.  Without any formal knowledge in industrial design, I sketched up blueprints for what would be iPod and iPhone cases that later sold in Apple stores. When I am not dreaming about ways to improve people’s lives, I am usually painting, cycling, hiking, cooking, napping or finding new adventures in beautiful places.
